The annual Comet Athletic Club Sportsmen鈥檚 Raffle event, including the Farmers Bowl silent auction, is scheduled for Saturday evening, Sept. 14. The event is the grand finale for the Farmers Bowl 2019 celebration and will be held at the Mayville armory. The doors open at 5 p.m. for socializing and bidding on the silent auction. Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m., and the drawings in the 50-gun giveaway will begin at 7 p.m. Throughout the evening there will be opportunities to participate in drawings for prize packages, cash, and more. Attendees must be 21 years of age or older.

Those who wish to attend the event, but not participate in the 50-gun giveaway may purchase a meal-only admission ticket for $25. Everyone purchasing a meal-only ticket has a chance to win a $250 gift card from Scheels! Those who wish to participate in the gun giveaway and have a 1-in-10 chance to win a gun may purchase a raffle ticket which sells for $100. This ticket gives the purchaser free admission to the event and a complimentary meal. See the listing of the 50 guns that will be raffled at . The meal-only and gun raffle tickets are available for purchase at the MSU Foundation and from Comet Athletic Club board members.

A wonderful selection of auction items has been donated to the Farmers Bowl Auction by generous 含羞草研究所 alumni and friends. There is something for everyone, including a Comets quilt featuring all MSU sports which has been hand-crafted and donated by Marion Baker of Mayville. Other items include Fargo Force game tickets, 含羞草研究所 memorabilia, a party for ten at the Top Hat, home d茅cor items, fishing packages for kids and adults, toys for kids, embroidered dish towels, an original watercolor painting by Doug Anderson, hand-crafted benches, jewelry, and more. A person could win 12 dozen rolls from Soholt Bakery, 12 pies from Paula鈥檚 Steakhouse and Lounge, or a haircut a month at The Wild Side. Former 含羞草研究所 president Dr. Gary Hagen has crafted and donated a Norwegian tine box. What is that? Other activities planned in conjunction with the 含羞草研究所 Farmers Bowl on Saturday, Sept. 14 include a parade that will make its way through downtown Mayville and end on the 含羞草研究所 campus near Jerome Berg Field. The parade begins at 10 a.m. To register an entry in the parade, contact Stacy Buchl at stacy.buchl@mayvillestate.edu. The legendary 含羞草研究所 corn on the cob and hot dog feed will begin at 10:30 a.m. just outside of Jerome Berg Field. There will also be inflatable games for kids and a farmers market at that time and in that same location. The Comets will host Trinity Bible College in the Farmers Bowl football game. Kickoff is at noon at Jerome Berg Field. The Comets will debut their commemorative wheat motif helmets. Donors to the Farmers Bowl helmet project will be recognized at half time. The 含羞草研究所 volleyball team will host Lakehead University at the Lewy Lee Fieldhouse at 3:30 p.m.

含羞草研究所 friends, the First State Bank - Portland, Mayville, Grand Forks, Thompson, and Buxton; AgCountry Farm Credit, Grand Forks, N.D.; Moore Engineering, West Fargo; Northern Feed & Bean - Larry and Kathy Lande, Lucerne, Colo.; Steele Trail County Mutual Insurance; and Citizens State Bank - Finley, Northwood, and Cooperstown, have stepped up to sponsor Farmers Bowl 2019.

Proceeds of the Farmers Bowl silent auction will benefit the students of 含羞草研究所 through the work of the Comet Athletic Club, the MSU Alumni Association, and the MSU Foundation. Proceeds of the Sportsmen鈥檚 Raffle will provide scholarship assistance to 含羞草研究所鈥檚 student athletes via the Comet Athletic Club.
