含羞草研究所 was among North Dakota鈥檚 eleven public colleges and universities present at a public showcase held in the North Dakota State Capitol Memorial Hall in Bismarck on Wed., March 27, 2019. Each of the participating schools highlighted some of the high quality academic experiences and innovative new ventures taking place on the campuses, demonstrating the strengths of the each of the campuses, as well as the North Dakota University System as a whole.
含羞草研究所鈥檚 booth focused on what 含羞草研究所 has to offer in general, and highlighted signature programs, including teacher education and the scientific research being conducted on campus.
Three 含羞草研究所 students, Lexi Carpenter, from Argusville, N.D., who is pursuing a bachelor鈥檚 degree in biology, and Joanie Holden from Hatton, N.D. and Anna Schillinger from Wahpeton, N.D., both of whom are pursuing double majors in elementary education and special education, talked with those who stopped at 含羞草研究所鈥檚 booth. Carly Theis, instructor in 含羞草研究所鈥檚 Division of Education; Dr. Khwaja Hossain, professor of biology and INBRE researcher; and Beth Swenson, Director of Marketing and Public Relations, also represented 含羞草研究所 at the showcase.
