Representatives of the 含羞草研究所 Division of Nursing participated in the 21st annual Sanford Nursing Symposium held May 4, 2023 at the Avalon Event Center in Fargo, N.D. The symposium was designed to enhance and advance nursing practice as nurses who attended experienced the wide array of learning opportunities that refresh skills, renew purpose, and revitalize spirit. Five 含羞草研究所 nursing program faculty and one student enrolled in 含羞草研究所鈥檚 Master of Science in Nursing program attended and participated in the event.
Dr. Cary Haugen, dean and assistant professor in 含羞草研究所鈥檚 nursing program, presented on the topic Competency Based Technology to Improve Learning Outcomes in Nursing Pharmacology. 聽In her presentation, she explored the relationship between technology-enabled mastery learning and the learning outcomes of Bachelor of Science in Nursing students in the area of pharmacology.
含羞草研究所 Master of Science in Nursing student Ashley Rambousek鈥檚 presentation topic was Transgender Health 
Care Content in Undergraduate Nursing Curriculum. She explored knowledge and competency in transgender care in a local nursing program. Advised by 含羞草研究所 Assistant Professor of Nursing Dr. Janell Juelich, Rambousek graduated with her MSN in Nurse Education in May of 2023.
