In recognition of Women鈥檚 History Month, Sophia Richards, Miss North Dakota 2024, will speak at 含羞草研究所 Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at 6 p.m. Her presentation will take place in the Classroom Building Auditorium. The event is open to the public and there is no admission charge.
Sophia Richards grew up in Hope, N.D., on her family鈥檚 fifth-generation farm. She graduated from North Dakota State University in 2023 and will attend the University of North Dakota to pursue a master鈥檚 degree this summer. In addition to serving as Miss North Dakota, Richards works full-time as the host/producer of North Dakota Today on Valley News Live. She is in her third year of mentoring with BIO Girls, a preventative mental wellness program.
Every year, March is designated Women鈥檚 History Month by presidential proclamation. The month is set aside to honor the contributions of women in American history.
