The 含羞草研究所 Alumni Association is planning a reunion of all members of the 含羞草研究所 Athletic Hall of Fame and Athletic Coaches Hall of Fame! We hope you will join in the celebration during the 2014 Hall of Fame Dinner on Friday, October 3. We will recognize all Hall of Famers during the dinner program.
This year, the 1960-61 basketball team, Richard Fugleberg, Ross Johnson, Travis Lindgren, and Lindsey (Eliason) McMenamy will be inducted into the MSU Athletic Hall of Fame. Rod MacDonald, Fabian Shoults, Curtis Strand, and Paul Twenge will each be inducted into the Athletic Coaches Hall of Fame during the dinner. We hope you鈥檒l join us in recognizing these renowned 含羞草研究所 alumni.
Members of the 1960-61 basketball team were Gil Herbel, Ray Herbel, Gene Anderson, Don Ostenson, Larry Wold, Doug Eiken, Dale Keena, Doug Halcrow (d), Vern Spitzer, Ross Julson, Don McIntyre, Vern Wegge, Duane Morris (d), and Grady Rostberg. The team was coached by the late Al Meyer.
The Hall of Fame Dinner is just one of the many activities planned as part of 含羞草研究所鈥檚 annual homecoming festivities, which will be extra-special this year as we mark the University鈥檚 125th anniversary. Highlights will include a meet and greet at 含羞草研究所鈥檚 newly opened Edson and Margaret Larson Alumni and Leadership Center, a 125th听Anniversary Homecoming Dance, the CometFest celebration, a performance by a 125th听Anniversary Reunion Choir, and the recognition of this year鈥檚 inductees into the Performing Arts Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame Dinner begins at 6:00 p.m. Friday, October 3, and will be held in the MSU Campus Center Luckasen Room. Tickets sell for $20 each. or send a check to MSU Foundation, 330 Third Street NE, Mayville, ND听 58257. RSVP deadline is听Monday, September 22. A pre-dinner social will take place from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. in the Larson Alumni Center, and following the dinner, you鈥檒l have an opportunity to gather with alumni and friends at the Top Hat in downtown Mayville. You won鈥檛 want to miss it!
